Marketing affiliate products if a great way to earn income, placing a link on a blog or website is one of the easiest ways to promote your affiliate products. Knowing how to find your own niche in internet marketing is probably the most important first step in making money online.
Why do I say that?
Because everyone of us has our unique talent. It’s only when we make use of our unique talent can we excel in what we do.
Internet marketing is no different.
If you try to copy the way other people make money online, yet the method does not resonate with your natural self, you will not be able to excel in that area.
For example, some marketers make big bucks conducting seminars. My question to you is, do you like to do public speaking? If you don’t and you force yourself to do that, chances are you will not do well in it.
For me, I enjoy working with technical people, coming out with innovative systems and programs that can help people. I don’t mind spending hours with my programmer, trying to resolve some technical issues. (I know these are non-income generating activities and I should avoid them, but I enjoy the problem-solving process.) That’s me. But you may be different.
Another example. You know who Ewen Chia is right? Do you know what he enjoyed doing most before becoming a successful internet marketer? He liked to compose songs!! He could be spending nights composing songs. Now instead of composing songs, he put his talent into ‘composing’ sales letters! He likes to try out different kinds of sales letters and see which one converts better, something that I don’t enjoy doing! But if you talk PHP or HTML with him, he’ll frown.
Internet marketing is a huge industry and there’re a lot of ways through which you can use your talent.
If you are good in graphic, you can leverage on your strength and provide graphic services online. You can also upgrade your skills by learning HTML and create website templates. You can sell these templates, use them to build leads or simply create websites that make money.
If you enjoy writing, you can start a blog, create content websites and make money from Adsense or by selling affiliate products.

It seems that we have forgotten a key component to having people go to our websites, we don't verbally tell them to! We fail in the simplest forms of communication, talking and telling about our website. But, there are other things many business owners forget when building their website, a reason to go there and stay on it for a while. If you have been in a major retailer lately here are some of the things they do to get people to go to their website. You can employ the same tactics...
1) They offer a poll or survey and then customers enter to win some kind of prize, such as a gift certificate to your store or a certificate to shop on your online store, even better. With all the hard work that went into your website, don't let it sit there and gather virtual dust. At the bottom of this article I included a couple of links to that may help your marketing efforts.
2) Place some advertising on your site, that you will get paid for for referring people to join, survey or get a free quote. It is easy to do, there are ready made banners and just strategically place them on the side bars and along the top and bottom of your website. 3) Have a related links page. You can find things that are related to your business that you can make a simple link page. Text links work best and you will earn extra income from people trying out related products and services.
4) Build your link presence by using a blog to write articles about your business, a featured product, announcements, or anything you can think of to attract attention to your website. Many businesses have a free newsletter, so get all of your customers email addresses so you can send then the newsletter and your blog announcements.
5) Use your expertise to syndicate articles about your profession, when you write an article you would include your name, your website and a bio of what you do. If you have been making furniture for 20 years, you are pretty much an expert, so use that expertise to enhance your web presence.
