Craiglist Tips-How to get top rankings on search engines with your posts on Craigslist.com.


Top Spot- Just like when you write a blog, a webpage or website, using keywords is vital to getting on the first page. Depending on your listing you will want to first of all use all of the keywords as much as you can in the title. Next your heading is so important, when you start wrting your ad, use the (heading tab) to hightlight your subtitle. I put the state first for a reason, search engines are getting localized and when a search is performed, local items that match the searchers description will appear locally FIRST.
Next your body of your ad you should use the camera name again, using the features etc. It is important that you mention keywords. Just think of what you would type in if YOU were looking for the exact same camera.
Remember, you can edit your ad as many times as you want. If you are selling one item, this is not so important, but if you are trying to earn money selling products or services on Craigslist, then it is vital that keywords are placed through out the ad.
Stagger Your Posts on Craigslist.com-
I have tested these results and they work pretty well. If you work during the day, wake up a little early and post a few items that you are trying to sell first thing in the morning. If you have access during the day, do another just before lunchtime, do another at 4PM and then at the following times: 5PM, 6PM, 8PM, 9PM and then one before going to bed. If you are selling multiple products this is the best way to do it. If you are selling a single product or service, you can do the same, but be sure the ads are not worded the same in any way or you will be flagged.
Here is the schedule:
6AM-8AM (before you leave for work)
11:30AM- (if you have the opportunity)
4,5 and 6PM-(one or more each hour)
8 and 9PM- (one or more each hour)
Before Bed- Remember, Craigslist is worldwide, and people are up during the night. I have tracked overnight sales and have gotten many at 4AM!
Cruise the site- The best way to get comfortable with anything is to get comfortable with your surroundings. First, open an account on Craigslist.com, it's free and almost all the categories are free to post on, except a select few.
Find your niche'- What is that you like? Do you have a hobby that can make you cash? Do you have an interest in certain products or have someone you can buy locally or online from? Have you thought about using dropshipping?
There are hundreds of thousands of things you can sell, you ultimately decide what to sell. The best way to start is to post some items you have around your home that you no longer need. Or if you know a certain product or antiques lets say, look on Craigslist itself and buy and resell, with the economy the way it is, many people are trying to just make a few dollars to stay above water, you can capitolize on this.
Use your Website or Current Business-
Craigslist was designed for you to advertise your items and get traffic to your website or store. My websites get well over 10,000 hits per week just from my ads on Craigslist.com. That is 10,000 visitors that I would not have had without my postings.
You may get flagged...
Re-posting the same item twice is prohibited on Craigslist.com. So, you will need to post more than one item if you want to succeed. You can delete an old posting after 3 days and Re-post it, if you do it sooner to get at "the top of the list" you will get flagged and your posting will be deleted. Use the forum on Craigslist.com to help you avoid this. Don't worry if you do, it is normal.
